Outstanding location. If you can afford it, book Gunpowder Suites. Or have lunch there and use the pool.

This is superbly located across the way from Nelson’s Dockyard. From the Gunpowder Suites side the view is one of the best in Antigua.. the pool area is outstanding.

Nothing…. You just need to be really clear whether you’re booking Admiral’s Inn or the Gunpowder Suites. I wanted the latter but had booked the former and had to upgrade on arrival. They’re part of the same property. The Suites are expensive but well worth it for the location. Well appointed with excellent terraces. Best views are from the Junior Suites looking straight ahead. AC couldn’t quite cope with whole cottage but still very welcome. Mosquito nets also a good touch as needed. Food was mixed. Breakfast excellent. Lobster at dinner, overcooked and not hot. However, location compensates. Would rebook and Recommend.

Extremely relaxing in a beautiful environment. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and the sea. Had a pretty varan

The staff were all extremely kind and friendly. They clearly pride themselves on great customer service.

Not much not to like. It doesn’t have facilities such as a gym or tennis court . If you want other things like tennis there is a court very close to the hotel. Also other activities like horse riding can be organized locally.

Well maintained historic property in the Nelson's Dockyard. Very nicely appointed rooms! Views!

Very nice located near the Nelson's Dockyard for those that want to stay a night before sail charters at Moorings. You can literally walk out your room and into your boat. Beautiful views in a nice harbor. Museum, bars, restaurants and nice grounds around the property that are part of the Nelson's Dockyard National Park.

Much more expensive than other options at English Harbour.

Met all our expectations.

A great hotel in a beautiful location. Nelson's Dockyard is a pretty magical place. The hotel has its own two great restaurants and is also close to the other restaurants and general buzz of English Harbour. The boat crossings to the swimming pool worked well. Friendly staff and a great holiday.

Lovely time once you get past the querks.

The suites are very nice and have more to offer than the rooms at the inn. The rooms in the inn are quite small( pictured) as are the bathrooms w no place for your tolietries ( pedestal sink no shower niche or hanger for soap shampoo) other than top of toilet or the bed which is only a few feet away. The inn rooms all involve climbing stairs. No elevator. It's difficult to tell when booking where your going to be as they dont specify in the booking listing if you want to stay at the inn or the suites. We changed rooms to a suite at a significant expense. This review is based on our room at the inn. We learned if you want a suite you need to book a garden view and a deluxe or superior suite..water or marina views are from the inn. Your better off calling direct. The suites are larger more expensive but have fridges and larger closets larger bathrooms w vanities and a seating area. No television's or phones in any rooms. The pictures are misleading.. The facility has two restaurants one is very good the other is hit and miss..the majority of the staff is lovely hard working and accomodating.

The dinner hostess at pillars is argumentative. The inability to distinguish room sizes and facility based on pictures and current description. The lack of transportation to restaurants off site unless you rent a car u need to go by taxi.. several suites have a steep incline to walk for access..if you are disabled or elderly this is not a facility to go to the paths are rocky and have lots of steps. And boat transport between the inn and the suites is not disability friendly. I also missed not having regional cuisine offered at the restaurants. I wasn't there for Thai and italian. It's a fun quirky place but has its limitations.

The best location, could walk to many restaurants in the English harbour and the nearby pigeon beach. The pina colada’s were also the best!

Excellent hotel with extremely service minded staff

Extremely service-minded staff. Lovely historical location. Nice beach walking distance. Nice hiking trails close by. Nice breakfast area. High recommendation!

Pool, boat ferry service, staff, complimentary arrival drink

Noisy and thin walls as period property. We had real issues with our key/lock, needs some serious WD-40. Food overpriced. Didn't feel as luxurious as the other 4 star hotels we stayed in on the island/in the area. Very small rooms with no real storage as period property. Would probably not return. Rooms let the hotel down.

Stunning heritage setting and building. Beautiful seating areas. Super boat service and excellent cocktails. Staff in general very helpful.

Attic rooms compact but main problem is shower/bathroom needed a complete refit. Food not great given status of the hotel and plastic American style breakfast menu and choices simply not good enough. Kitchen fan very loud from our room (9).

Wonderful historical setting with great staff

An amazing setting where you feel part of the history of Antigua. The room reflected the fact it was in a traditional building and was comfortable with everything you could need over-looking the harbour. The staff could not have done more to make the stay memorable. The ferry to the pool & beach was fun and different.

You’re part of a world heritage site so be prepared for lots of tourists - especially when cruise ships are in!

Great hotel and location for a mini break

Location was amazing Lovely views Room was spacious & they made a special effort for our anniversary which was great Pillars restaurant, best meal we have had in Antigua. Great lobster.

No slippers or dressing gowns which would have been a nice touch Just Nescafé sachets - no coffee machine WI-FI didn’t work, so had to piggy back off of Booms wifi Service at Pillars a little slow Breakfast nice but a little penny pinching noted on the menu (limited to 1 cappuccino and 3 fillings for Omelette)
